The Edenton Pumpkin Tradition

Since the community of Edenton began in 2007, we have had an annual pumpkin carving contest. Pumpkins are delivered in mid-October and each residence can submit their carved creation to be judged in the contest by displaying it on their front porch before the end of the month. Here are a few cool ones from years past:

Wow! Needless to say, we've got some really creative folks out here, and we are expecting to see some awesome jack-o-lanterns lighting up the neighborhood this year!

We decided to kick off the month by having a Pumpkin Pickup Party, so that residents could come out, bring their kids and pets, enjoy some Halloween treats, and choose the best pumpkin they could find! We had them all delivered to the North Green at the Lofts and created a fun fall scene with hay bales and mums.

Homeowners showed up by the carfull to make their selections and hang out with their neighbors, enjoying the awesome weather!

Baby Arden came out to pick out her very first pumpkin!

Everyone had so much fun getting into the fall spirit, and we can't wait to see what is in store for the pumpkins this year!
